The tour kicks off on June 13th at Oskar Blues in Lyons, CO, and will see the trio traveling to various venues. It culminates in their debut at the prestigious Telluride Band Contest, part of the 51st Annual Telluride Bluegrass Festival. About Stockyard Drawl
Stockyard Drawl, formed in 2023 in Chicago, is a power trio that seamlessly blends Americana roots with bluegrass, folk, and world music. The band is comprised of three talented musicians: Sean Carolan, Ben Zorn, and Brendan Forrest, each bringing a unique musical background and skill set to the group.
Sean Carolan, a seasoned bassist and multi-instrumentalist, has extensive experience performing across North and South America and Europe. He is also a founding member of the acclaimed Chicago jam-band Mungion. Ben Zorn, hailing from Chicago's northwest side, is known for his intricate folk melodies and has collaborated with some of the Midwest's top folk musicians, performing at prominent events like the Blue Ox Music Festival. Brendan Forrest, an award-winning singer-songwriter and guitarist, rounds out the trio. His accolades include being a two-time City of Chicago Artist Grantee and winner of the John Lennon Songwriting Contest.
