Album Background

"Daydreaming Music Fiend" marks the debut album of Brendan Forrest, a project initiated in the Summer of 2022. Brendan — along with long-time friends and fellow musicians Andrew Vogt and Patrik Ahlberg — traveled from Chicago to Nashville to commence recording.

Forrest collaborated with some of the industry's notable talents for this album. He recruited Dominick Leslie, a mandolinist celebrated for his work on Molly Tuttle and Golden Highway's 2023 Grammy-winning 'Best Bluegrass Album.' Additionally, the album features contributions from International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) award recipients Jake Stargel, a guitarist, and George Jackson, an Australian fiddler acclaimed in the bluegrass scene.

Post-production saw the involvement of Andy Shoemaker, a Grammy-nominated professional from Rax Trax Recording, who was responsible for mixing and mastering the album.

"Daydreaming Music Fiend" is the culmination of Forrest's creative vision and collaborative efforts with some of the most respected artists in the bluegrass genre. This album embarks a new chapter in Brendan’s 20-year music career, pursuing his lifelong passion for Folk Americana and Bluegrass.
